Meet The Trailsmith — a one-of-a-kind 9-inch Damascus camp knife from the 2R Bar Collector’s Knife Vault. Built for outdoorsmen, hunters, and collectors, it offers dependable field performance while showcasing the refined character of traditional Damascus steel.
Hand-forged from alternating layers of 1095 and 15N20 steel, the blade carries more than 500 true folds, producing a bold layered pattern and the working strength required for real-world use. Heat-treated to approximately 58–60 HRC, it delivers reliable toughness, excellent edge retention, and the cutting power needed for camp and trail work. The handle is crafted from stabilized layered birch, showing deep, multi-tone grain lines that reveal the dyed birch layers within. Each contour is shaped and finished by hand in the 2R Bar shop, creating a secure, comfortable grip and a distinctive character that makes this knife truly one of a kind within the Vault.
